Camping for the Reunion

Midwest Old Threshers offers a 72-acre campground for visitors to stay. The campground has electrical hookups, two dump stations, four restroom and shower houses, and a non-electrical hookup area.

There are 945 campsites with 30-amp and 70 campsites with 50-amp electrical service for reserved camping during the annual Midwest Old Threshers Reunion.

During The Reunion, shuttling is available between the campground and the main grounds via ground trains and trolleys. There are also groceries and ice available at the campground grocery store. All guests need to register at the campground registration building upon arrival to the campgrounds.

$15.00 Tent Camping, $20.00 Regular Camping

Campsite reservations cost $400.00 per site for 30 amp and $480.00 per site for 50 amp.

One vehicle is allowed inside the campground gates per reserved site. Any additional vehicles may purchase a parking pass for $10 for the Long-Term Campground Parking Lot off-site. (The extra vehicle will not be allowed into the campground) Please plan ahead for this. Only one extra vehicle parking pass may be purchased ahead per site. All others may be purchased upon arrival.

Payment can be with cash, a check, or an approved credit card and must accompany the reservation (Please note that any insufficient funds, declined cards, and/or returned checks will void your reservation).   Reservations begin February 5, 2024, at the Midwest Old Threshers business office (405 East Threshers Road, Mount Pleasant, Iowa) or by calling 319.385.8937 to make reservations with Julie.

None of the sites in the campground have hookups for individual water or sewer). Water is available nearby, and two on-site dump stations are available for use upon leaving, or you may sign up at Camper Hospitality for a pumping service that operates during the event.

There are a limited Number of Handicapped sites available on a first-come, first-served basis. All campers in handicapped sites must display proper state-issued handicapped identification tags or license plates.

The reservation fee secures the site from August 17 through check-out time (5PM) on September 2, 2024. The entire fee is non-refundable or transferable. Campers will be mailed a letter notification of the reservation verifying the ID number and location of the campsite via USPS First Class Mail. The letter must be presented upon arrival at campground registration.

After the campground opens on August 17, campers are welcome to come in on a first-come, first-serve basis to secure any space that has NOT been pre-reserved. Camper parking happens between the hours of 8 AM to 7 PM. NO CAMPERS WILL BE PARKED AFTER 7 PM. Register the campsite in person with the campground workers who will reserve the campsite with your full payment and completed registration (price will include all days from arrival date through check-out time on September 2). 

*Check out time on Monday (Labor Day) is 5PM.  If you stay past 5PM on Monday, you will be required to pay the nightly fee and for any additional night(s) thereafter.

Phone reservations will be taken until August 16, 2024, at 4:00 PM or until electric sites are full (whichever comes first). Any electric sites available after August 17 will be first come, first serve only.  If you have a larger camping unit and you need to ensure yourself electricity, reservations are recommended.

  • Can I bring a golf cart or another form of personal conveyance vehicle to the grounds?

    Individuals are welcome to use personal conveyance vehicles (PCV) on the Reunion grounds and in the main campgrounds. A vehicle is considered a PCV if it does not exceed 48 inches in length or 32 inches in width, carries one occupant, and travels on three or more wheels. Golf carts, ATVs, Gators, Lawn Mowers, and other related vehicles are NOT considered to be a PCV.
