CONTEST RULES

Please read these rules before submitting your photo(s) to the Midwest Old Threshers Photo contest. These are the General Rules governing all contests hosted by Midwest Old Threshers. By participating in the contests, you understand, acknowledge, and unconditionally agree to abide by the following rules:

BASIC SUBMISSION GUIDELINES FOR PHOTOGRAPHS

  1. The contest is open for online submissions, CD, Jump-Drive only, through the contest page available on oldthreshers.com or Midwest Old Threshers Photo Contest, 405 E Thresher Rd, Mount Pleasant, IA 52641
  2. All Photo(s) must be from the current year’s Reunion.
  3. All Photo(s) become the Property of Midwest Old Threshers
  4. Submissions will not be accepted after the September 30th, 2026 deadline.
  5. Photos submitted must be in JPEG format. No prints will be accepted.
  6. You may submit as many entries per contest as you wish
  7. Basic editing, including color enhancement, the use of filters, and cropping of the Photo(s), is acceptable, provided any such editing does not affect the authenticity and/or genuineness of the Photo(s).
  8. All submitted photos must contain the original image along with the edited image.
  9. Advanced editing is used to create illusions, deceptions, and/or manipulations, and the addition or removal of significant elements within the frame is prohibited.

 

THE JUDGING

  1. Midwest Old Threshers will appoint three members of the Board of Directors to serve as judges for the contest.
  2. Each judging panel shall assess and determine the winning Photos for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place.
  3. The Midwest Old Threshers Staff will then, from the final judging panel, determine the winners of each place to determine the contest winners.
  4. The results and the winners will be announced on the website & Facebook page.
  5. The decision of the Midwest Old Threshers Photo Contest judging panel will be final and binding on all Participants in respect to all matters relating to the Contest.
  6. October 16th, 2026: Winners will be announced. Prize is 1st Place: $150 + 2 Multi-Day Passes for 2027, 2nd Place: $100 & 3rd Place: $50
